Michael Tomczyk led a team of five people to develop the Commodore VIC-20. This was a home computer first released in Japan in 1980. It sold almost 3 million units world wide. I was priced at $299.99. It was in production for 5 years before it was discontinued .It's operating system was the Kernal Commodore Basic 2.0. -

Albert Charpentier was the lead designer for the Commodore 64 which was entered into the Guinness World Book of records as the highest selling computer model of all time. Intorduction of the CD-ROM 1984
The CD-ROM (compact disc read only memory) This first version of the CD-ROM contained data that a computer could only read, not erase or write. The capacity was about 553 to 900 mb on a 12 cm disc whereas an 8 cm disc capacity was 194 mb. The CD-ROM was introduced by Sony and Dennon during a Japanese COMDEX computer show. -
C++ computer language was invented. 1985
Bjarne Stroustrup was the first to write the highly popular computer programming language. C++ eventually became the most popular programming language of all time. It is highly used in game creation C++ is standardized by the ISO with its latest version ratified in Dec. 2020. There are 20 revisions of the C++ language out today. -
Acorn Archimedes 1987
These computers were developed by Acor computers of Cambridge. For the time it had a powerful 32-bit CPU running at 8MHz which was a significant upgrade form 8-bit home computers. The production ran for about 10 years as it was discontinued sometime in the mid 90's.
