Almost a year to the day after England are sent crashing out of the World Cup, the Premier League clubs vote through the controversial Elite Player Performance Plan. The final vote will now go to Football League clubs in October.

Football League clubs vote through the controversial EPPP. It is reported that all Football Leagues clubs that voted yes did so under increasing pressure from the Premier League, who threatened to withhold funding if the answer was a 'no'.
