    The cause of the enlightenment was a group of people not wanting to follow the churches teachings. People started to form new ideas. The ideas people where coming up with went against the church. Thanks to the enlightenment we now know that the sun is at the centre of the universe and not the earth. This was only one of the many ideas the enlightenment has caused. The enlightenment effected the way people think about different religions and it helped people have an opinion of there own.

    Aafter nearly two years of trying to stay Neutral the US were forced into the war. The cause of this event was when 128 US passengers went down in RMS Lusatania due to a German U-Boat. The results were two years later when Germany declared all out Submarine warfare the US declared war on them.
