The enlightenment-
The cause of the enlightenment was a group of people not wanting to follow the churches teachings. People started to form new ideas. The ideas people where coming up with went against the church. Thanks to the enlightenment we now know that the sun is at the centre of the universe and not the earth. This was only one of the many ideas the enlightenment has caused. The enlightenment effected the way people think about different religions and it helped people have an opinion of there own. -

James cook discovers Australia
Captain cook discovered Australia in 1776. He was one of the many European discoverers of the time. The effects of him looking for a new colony was the discovery of Australia and the discovery sparked the first fleet which would later take place. -

The First fleet was caused due to overcrowding gaol sells in England. Discovered by Captain Cook a new penal colony was what they needed to set convicts out to make more space. The results where the finding of Australia. Convicts made up most of the population for the first few decades. -

The cause of the movement of the people was to make more room for their convicts and add a new colony under british name. When the English arrived at Australia the indigenous people were taken over by the British and evetnually many of them were wiped out by there diseases. -

The cause of the first fleet was that the British was looking for a new colony and that the gaols in england were overcrowded. The first fleet would set out and look for a new colony so that they could use it to make space for convicts. The results of the first fleet was the finding of Australia. It also resulted in a new colony with the convicts doing alot of farm work. -

Australias Bounty scheme
The cause of the bounty scheme was to attract more married couples and young single women to Australia. It was made because the goverment realised there were alot more men than women in Australia. The bounty resulted in a great success with over 6000 people coming to Australia -

Battle of Pinjarra
The cause of this battle was that the Bindjareb tribe beleived that the free settlers were incavidng there land. This became a battle between the Binjareb tribe and the English Soldiers. The results of the battle were atleast 15-25 aboriginal deaths and close to no English soldiers deaths. -

The cause of the working mans paradise was that Marvellous melbourne developed quickly and made many job vacancies open. The effect was everyone going to melbourne to get a job but the job vacancys filled up quickly and made many people jobless and homeless. The cause of the Gallipoli campagin was to create antoher front so the germans would split there army to support the turkish army. This would leave german army weakened. US Joins war
Aafter nearly two years of trying to stay Neutral the US were forced into the war. The cause of this event was when 128 US passengers went down in RMS Lusatania due to a German U-Boat. The results were two years later when Germany declared all out Submarine warfare the US declared war on them.
