How Communism has effected China?
In concluding this project I have learned that communism has affected China in many ways. Like with out communism and Mao Zedong's leadership China's economy wouldn't be where it is today. The strictness of Zedong helped get China together after World War 2. Communism helped develop the way China runs its economy. Mao Zedong getting China's industry growing, helped China to become one of the top manufacturers in the world. The struggles that China went through to get were its at helped. -

When Mao launched The Great Leap Forward he was trying to fix China's agriculture industry. In doing this Mao caused famine in China. Many people turned against Mao Zedong. Mao pushed The Great Leap Forward to fast. -

The famine was caused by The Great Leap Forward. During The Great Leap Forward, an estimated 45 million people died of starvation. This famine caused many people to turn against Mao Zedong. -

The Cultural Revolution
the Cultural Revolution was a plan composed by Mao Zedong to reassert his authority over the Chinese government. This was a decade of fighting and brutal treatment. During this event many people were persecuted. There was an estimated 2 million deaths. -
The Red Guards
The Red Guards were a system thought up by Mao Zedong during The Cultural revolution. Mao Zedong during The Cultural Revolution took groups of devoted young people to carry out new programs. The first red guards were made up of students. You could tell Mao Zedong was furious because of the things he had the red guards do. Mao had them do things such as, destroyed antiques, ancient texts, and Buddhist temples. -
The Tiananamen Square Massarce
This incident took place on April 5th, 1976. This incident happened during the Qingming Festival. It was triggered by the death of Zhou Enlai. The Chinese troopers stormed through Tiananamen Square killing and arresting thousands. -

Mao Zedong died September 23, 1976. Mao will be remembered as a strict ruler who helped build China's communist government. Mao helped shape China's economy and agriculture. -
Deng Xiaoping takes over for Mao Zedong
Deng Xiaoping took over after Mao Zedong passed away. Deng had a great impact on the economic growth of China. He was in office from 1978 until 1989 after retirement. He was a ruler who wanted China to have a market- economy. He died in 1997. -

The Tiananmen Square Massacre
The Tiananmen Square Massacre happened because of the death of Hu Yaobang. It happened at the Qingming Festival. Chinese troops stormed through Tiananmen Square, killing and arresting many protestors. The Tiananmen Massacre shows that they were very violent.
