The Battle of Stalingrad is known as the bloodiest battle in history. This battle took place so that the Germans could take over the city of Stalingrad. They openly attacked any and all including innocent people through the aid of air raids. After 5 months of battling and defeating the two allies of Germany (Hungary and Romania) they finally surrendered at the end of those 5 long deadly months. -

This operation took place because it was used to attack the German 6th Army when they leased expected it during the battle of Stalingrad. -
Battle of Kursk
This battle was between the Soviet Union and the German Army. This battle is know as the largest battle with armor. The Germans had created a plan to weaken the Soviet Army but the Soviets had already caught wind of the plan and was prepared well in advance and because of that the Soviets came out with the victory. -
Siege of Leningrad Raised
This siege was one of the longest sieges in history and due to how long it was it also coasted the most lives in history as well. The German Army used this block as strategy to cut off access to the Soviet Union Army. -
The Battle of Budapest
The battle lasted 50 days and was in the capital of Hungary. This war/siege ended with over 38,000 civilians killed due to starvation and military actions. This was a win for the allies and helped in the fight to Berlin -

Also known as Spring Awakening, due to the surprise attack made by Germany near Lake Balaton. This operation was a great failure from the beginning. -

In the attempt to avoid capture by the Red Army after being defeated in World War II, Adolf Hitler along with his wife Eva Hitler they killed themselves. Their bodies were burned. -
World War II ended in Europe
Germany finally surrendered, this was known as V.E Day/Victory Day. Kietel signed the final surrendering document on May 8, 1945 in Berlin. Germany could finally begin to rebuild themselves which would end up taking a very long time.
