    The first images of a horror story made of a real life cave exploration were posted. It was an online diary about a man excavating an unknown and unexplored cave with a friend of his. Throughout this entry it becomes further disturbing and unsettling as he finds more and more secrets of the passages as paranormal events occur. This was know as "The Story of Ted the Carver" which was adapted to a film know as "Living dark"

    in 2008 a horrifying presence known as the "Smile dog" was posted on 4chan by Michael Lutz. The image depicted a smiling dog creature with the body of a Siberian Husky with what appears to be the face with a wide human grin not fitting on the dog being in a red background with a humanoid entity reaching out it's hand. At the time the author was anonymous but soon gave his name after not being known for decades. The image was sent to people with it as a message that said "spread the word".

    Jeff the Killer is a character that emerged from creepy pasta, a popular sub genre of user-generated internet urban legends and horror stories. The image was a pale white man with a Wide grinning smile and is known for saying "go to sleep" before ending his victims and was created by Sesseur.

    One of the most well known oldest of modern day horror was known as the "slender man". The creature was posted about in the year 2009 by the creator named Eric Knudsen This was a story about a disproportionately tall and slender humanoid entity and was pale white with a black suit and a black tie. In some photos this creature has long inky black tentacles sprouting from its back. It was known for kidnapping 14 young individuals and was adapted into 3 different movies and many game adaptations.

    Sonic.exe was created by JC-the-Hyena The game is about a demonic creature that possessed the game cartage of Sonic. This demonic version of Sonic has black eyes with glowing red pupils and sharp fangs. This creature plays with sonics original friends like toys and thinks it's a god.

    On the day of December the 3rd 1992 the first text was sent by a 22-year old name under the name Neil Pap-worth sent a simple message on a Nokia saying "Merry Christmas" to a Richard Jarvis.
