Hannah goes to her Grandpa Will's house for Passover. There she participates in the many traditions like the Seder Dinner, hiding the afikoman, and calling out to Elijah. -
Hannah Calls out to Elijah
Grandpa Will lets Hannah open the doors for Elijah. During this time, Hannah is sent back in time to 1942. -
Hannah's Name is Changed
After going back in time, Hannah becomes Chaya, which is her Jewish name. -
Chaya meets Shmuel and Gitl
Chaya meets Shmuel and Gitl who are her aunt and uncle. They are currently getting ready for Shmuel's wedding. -
Chaya goes to the Wedding
Chaya goes to Shmuel's wedding and participates in the Jewish festivities. While at the wedding, she gets taken by the Nazis. -
Chaya is taken to a Concentration Camp
Chaya is taken to a concentration camp by a train. While at the concentration camp, Chaya's hair is cut, she canges into dirty clothes, and gets a tattoo on her arm that reads J19724. -
Chaya tries to leave the Concentration Camp
After a few weeks, Gitl tells Chaya that her and a few other men are planning to escape. During the night they try to leave but the Nazis find another Jew trying to escape and they run back into their rooms. -
Chaya's Friends get sent to the Chamber
At the Concentration Camp a soldiers is told to kill 3 people and he finds Chaya and her group of friends. He does not pick Chaya because she was in a group of four and he picked her 3 other friends. -
Chaya saves Rivka
While the soldier is taking Chaya's friends to the chamber, Chaya tells Rivka to give her the bandana she is wearing. Rivka hands it to Chaya and she hides while Chaya takes her place. Chaya is killed in the chamber. -
Hannah Wakes Up at her Grandpa Will's House
After she is killed in the chamber, Hannah wakes up and finds out that she was Chaya and that Rivka was her Aunt Eva. Aunt Eva tells her the story about what her markings mean and how she was saved by Chaya in the concentration camp.
