Betty was found in a deep sleep and wouldn't wake up. Abigail tells her uncle that witches were dancing around fire, Parris is convinced there was more than just dancing. -

Proctor is a new character in the story. He and Abigail discuss what happened at night in the sheets. Proctor tells Abigail that their affair is over -
Act One pg 472-485
Tituba confesses her sins after someone influences her to.We learn that Mr.Putnam is greedy and only seeks money. -
Act Two pg 487-493
Proctor lies about where he as been to his wife Elizabeth. Elizabeth and Proctor talk about his affair with Abigail. Elizabeth finds out she has been accused of witchcraft. -
Act Two pg 494-498
Another woman is accused of working with the devil. Proctor restates the 10 commandments. Ironically, he forgets adultery which is something he has done. His wife helped him out. -
Act Two pg 499-503
Hale points out a poppet that is in the house which belongs to Mary Warren. Inside the poppet is a needle which struck Abigail. Proctor tells Mary Warren to accuse Abigail of murder. -
Act Three pg 505-511
In court, people are starting to give their statements.Giles is defending his wife. With the news that Proctor gets about his wife being pregnant, he defends his wife and says she will never tell a lie.Parris is convinced that people are trying to attack the court. -
Act Three pg 512-517
Danforth accuses Mr. Corey of being against Mr. Putnam. Giles does not want to give the court the name of the man who gave him information. Mary Warren states she is with God to try and say she is not lying. Parris claims he saw dancing and Marry Warren says the spirits were fake and she was never threatened. -
Act Three pg 518-525
Abigail is at risk so she pretends to feel a shadow. She and the other girls turn on Marry Warren and copy everything she says to make the blame fall on her. Elizabeth lies in court and is taken away. Abigail turns on Parris, he is taken along with Corey. -
Act Four pg 527-530
Herrick takes Tituba and Sarah Good from jail. Danforth thinks Herrick is drunk. Tituba calls out to the Devil. -
Act Four pg 531-533
Hale and Danforth get Elizabeth to start talking. They try to convince her to tell her husband to lie and say Abigail and them are witches. -
Act Four pg 534-539
Proctor and Elizabeth talk, she tries to convince Proctor to lie. Proctor refuses. He'd rather die then lie.
