Grils from the town, Salem, were caught "dancing in the woods". They were accused of conjuring spirits. -
Act one
One of the girls' name is Abigail; she has an uncle named Parris who is a reverend. He also has a daughter named Betty who fainted and won't wake up. -
Act one
Parris is a selfish man who's concerned about his position in the chruch. He lies about his daughter and niece. -
Act one
Abigail was accused of casting a spell om Goody Proctor; John Proctors wife. She had affair with him and is till obssessed with him. -
Act One
Reverend Hale has been called to find witchery in Salem. This whole time Betty is pertending to be unconcious. He is trying to wake her up. -
Act one
Abigail then starts blaming Tituba, their house slave, because she was with them in the woods. Tituba blames two girls from the village. Then all the girls just starting shouting out names and blaming them. -
Act two
John Proctor and his wife are home; its a bit awkward between since he confessed to her about Abigail. Mary Warren enters. She been at trials all day. 39 people accused of being witches. She gives Goody Proctor a doll she made. -
Act two
Mary tells Elizabeth that she was accused but she defended her. reverend Hale comes in. He's questioning John about why he hasn't gone to church. His excuse is because he doesn't like Parris and the way he runs the church -
Act two
At Johns house, Cheever, an official of th court, has been sent for a warrent for Goody Proctor. Cheever finds a ragdoll with a needle in it. It's abig deal because earlier today Abigail Claimed that Elizabeth had sent her spirit out to kill her. -
Act two
Elizabeth is taken away by Cheever. John wants Marry to tell the truth. She knows what really happened but she is scared of Abiagail. -
Act three
John, Giles, Hale,and Marry Warren got to court to defend the accused and to tell the truth. They give the court a list of people who support Elizabeth and say shes not guilty. Danforth, the jugde sents out a warrent to arrest all them. -
Act three
Marry Warren confesses that they were all pretending. Proctor confesses to his affair with Abigail so they won't take her side anymore. They bring Elizabeth in to see if he's telling the truth. She lies to protect his name. -
Act three
All the girls begin to mimic Marry Warren; they claim to see a bird and that she is sending her spirit on them. -
Act three
Marry Warren can take it no more. So she blames John Proctor and accuses him of being with the devil. The judges take him and now he is accused/guitly. -
Act four
3 months have passed. Reverend Hale has returned to try and save people from being hanged. He somehow feels guilty. Everybody that was accused is still in jail. -
Act four
Abigail has run away with Mercy Lewis. She robbed Parris. He tells Danforth about it. He then wants John to confess. -
Act four
Proctor speaks with Elizabeth; they forgive each other. Parris and Hale want him to confess so he can be save. When he decides to confess he rips the document. He doesn't want to give up his name. -
Act four
John Proctors refusal to cooperate with the court leads to his excecution. Along with Rebecca Nurse and Martha Corey.
