The Putnams enters Betty's room. Mrs Putnam"take it on my soul, but who else may surely tell us what person murdered my babies". she believes that the devil was the reason why her babies couldn't live for a long time. -
Act Two pages 487-493
Set in the Proctor house, Elizabeth and Proctor were having dinner.
Elizabeth"the Deputy Governor promise hanging if they do not confess. The whole town has gone mad". -
Act Two 494-498
Mr. Hale enters the Proctor house. Mr. Hale question Proctor for his faith and belief. They all listen intently as Proctor recites the the Commandments. -
Act two 499-503
In the Proctor manor, John and Mary are having a heated argument,"My wife will never die for me, I will bring your guts to your mouth, but that goodness will not die for me! -
Act three 505-511
Giles weeps as his third wife is accused of witchery," I only says she were reading books, sir, and they come and take her out of my house. with a shaky voice he tries to explain to Danforth. -
Act three 512-517
Now in court Proctor and the girls accused trying to prove their innocence. Mary warren she glaces at Proctor who is staring down a her remorselessly, " Abigail leads the girls into the woods and they dance there naked. -

As Abigail begins to mock Mary Warren, the rest of the girls began to do the same, as if they were possessed. Girls- raising to their feet, "stop it! They all recite after Mary Warren. -
Act Four 527-531
In jail, Sarah Good waits for her fate. "tell him i'm going Tituba, now you tell him Sarah Good is coming too. She is also saying she believes that there is a devil. -
Act Four 532-534
As she is getting is arrested and being thrown to jail Elizabeth confesses that she is pregnant. " I am yet six months before my time", she heeds it as a warning that might be able to protect her from whats coming.
