Event One
The witch trials in Salem begin. They began when a group of young girls in Salem claimed to be possessed by the devil and accused many other women of witchcraft. As the "excitement" spread through the town, a special court assembled to hear the cases. Bridget Bishop was the first convicted and she was hung that June. -
Event two
The girls are caught dancing in the woods. They begin to act sick and Reverend Parris begins to cry over his daughters bed as she lays asleep in it. He prays that she gets better.
Parris sobs next to Betty's bed saying, "Betty. Child. Dear child. Will you wake, will you open your eyes! Betty, little one..." -
Event three
Tituba is accused of leading the girls into witchcraft and is whipped. She gets saved by Reverend Hale and starts believing in God.
As Hale was questioning Tituba, she yelled, "No, no, sir, I don't truck with no Devil!" -
Event four
Betty awakes in front of a huge group of members from the town. She tells the people she was dancing in the woods with the devil himself.
When Betty awakened her and Abigail accused many people of being with the devil. She said "I saw Goody Howe with the Devil! I saw Martha Bellows with the Devil!"
Abigail: "I saw Goody Sibber with the Devil!"
Betty: "I saw Alice Barrow with the Devil!"
Abigail: "I saw Goody Hawkins with the Devil!"
Betty: "I saw Goody Bibber with the Devil" -
Event six
After Abigail sees Mary Warren with the poppet, she stabbed herself with a needle to make it look like Elizabeth Proctor sent her familiar spirit to do it. She is accusing Elizabeth because she wants to take Elizabeth's place.
Hale said, "Abigail were stabbed tonight; a needle were found stuck into her belly-" -
Event five
Reverend Hale arrives with other members of the court and finds a poppet with s sewing needle in it. He believes that the poppet belongs to Elizabeth Proctor. (It is actually owned by Mary Warren, Elizabeth's house keeper.)
Since Proctor had the poppet he ask Mary, "Here now! Mary, how did this poppet come into my house?"
Frighteningly Mary said, "What poppet's that, sir?"
and proctor showed her the poppet. -
Event seven
After 7 people being accused of witchcraft, Abigail and the other girls are taken into the courtroom with John and Elizabeth Proctor. After Marry Warren tells who made the poppet Abigail and the other girls think that Mary Warren is cursing them with witchcraft and starts seeing a yellow light and start mimicking Mary. -
Event eight
After Elizabeth Proctor gets taken away to jail, John Proctor goes into court and confesses that he had an affair with Abigail Williams. Elizabeth goes and confesses the relationship and says she has no intention that John would commit Adultery.
Proctor said about Abigail, "I have known her, sir. I have known her." -
Event nine
John confesses to Mr. Putnam that he saw the devil. After saying what he confessed, John agrees to sign a legal document for the people of the church that he was sentenced to witchcraft.
Proctor wanted to withdraw his confession because he wanted to save his name. He was crying and pleading saying, "Because it is my name! Because I cannot have another in my life! Because I lie and sign myself to lies! Because I am not worth the dust on the feet of them that hang!" -
Event ten
John Proctor, Rebecca Nurse and Martha Corey get sentenced to be hung. As they are waiting, they begin to say a prayer. Just as John finishes the prayer his rope gets dropped.
