the doctrine grew from when George Kennan, US ambassador in Moscow made a telegram on the soviets growing power. This needed to be stopped when the us believed if Britain removed troops from Greece they would fall to communism. America went on the idea that citizens should apply to the statement “I believe that it must be the policy of the United States to support free peoples who are resisting attempted subjugation by armed minorities or by outside pressures.”. -
Marshall Plan is Announced
The Marshall Plan was the primary plan of the U.S for rebuilding and creating a stronger foundation for the allied countries of Europe, and repelling communism after World War II.
