    The First Battle of Bull Run
    The Union army under Brig. Gen. Irvin Mcdowell crossed at Sudley Fort and attacked the Confederate Army on Matthew Hill. The day was spent fighting until Confederate forces were driven back to Henry Hill. Later that day, the Confederates attacked the Union until it resulted in a rout for the Union.

    Battle of Shiloh
    Also known as the Battle of Pittsburg Landing, the battle begins when the Confederate Army, under the control of General Ulysses S. Grant, launches a surprise attack on the Union forces in southwestern Tennessee. Although the Confederates had seem to be winning, they were unable to hold their positions which resulted in a victory for the Union.
