    The enrollment act limited the age of the men that could be drafted. This age was 20-45 years old. They made this so that they could have a better army.

    This was one of the major battles of the civil war. Chancellorsville is also known as lee's perfect battle becuase of the decision to devide the army. During the battle of Chancellorsville General Stonewall Jackson was hurt by one of his men.

    vicksburgh surrendered to Grant and now all of the mississippi belonged to the unuion. This battle lasted a little over a month. The confederacy was now split into two.

    George Meade was the one who was replacing Joe Hooker. Meade was replacing him as the commander of the army of the potomac. He also served as the union general.

    Meade beat Robert E. Lee in this battle. This war was known as the wars turning point. The fighting was mainly on Culp's hill.

    Union Maj. Gen. William Rosencrans was fighting against Gen. Braxton Bragg in this battle. This battle lasted two days and they were fighting for the region. This was the second bloodiest battle of the war and it was also the most coslty.

    General Ulysses S. Grant was fighting against William T. Sherman’s Army. After their fighting General Ulysses S. Grant decided to attack. General Ulysses S. Grant won lookout mountain after six hours of fighting.

    Meade's army crossed the james river for their transportation. Grant tried to focus on the railroads for this battle. Many men lived in trenches for safety.

    Cold Harbor was part of the Peninsula campaign of 1862. This was a win for the union. Most of the union thought that they would loose.

    This was during the savannah campaign. This lasted a little over a month. Shermans men went south to try to attack.

    after the shooting of lincon wilks booth went missing. Soon they found him in a tobacco barn. Wilks booth was gunned down in the barn

    The union captured confederate president jefferson davis. They captured him in irwinsvile. Davis was taken prisoner there.

    General Edmund Kirby Smith surrenders
    General Edmund Kirby Smith was told to surrender. The confederacy was the ones who told him to surrender. He finally surrendered shortly after they told him to do so.

    Gen. Robert E. Lee surrendered his Confederate Army to Gen. Ulysses S. Grant. Lee surrendered to Grant becuase he was low on supplies. Lee also surrenedered becuase his supplies were taken and there wasnt much hope

    Lincon and his wife went to the theatre to watch a play and he was shot. John Wilks Booth was the man who shot Lincon. They brought Lincon to the house across the street and he never woke up.
