"Water Sharing" and Creation
Richard Lance Christie was fascinated with self-actualization and started studying extrasensory perception with Tim Zell, now known as Otto Zell-Ravenheart. On April 7th, 1962, Richard Lance Christie shared water, which became known as “water sharing,” with then Tim Zell. Thus, they unofficially created their religion. -
Formation
Created among a group of high school friends, the group of inspired by Heinlein's novel. They formed a group called "Atl" at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri. -

The group began publishing newspapers about their beliefs at the University of Oklahoma. -

Church of All Worlds Created
CAW was created in 1968 and was recognized by the Federal government. They named the religion “The Church of All Worlds” after the main character in the book -
The Gaia Thesis
In 1970, Oberon formulated and published the thealogy of deep ecology which has become known as The Gaia Thesis—that our entire planetary biosphere comprises the body of a single vast living organism universally identified as “Mother Earth.” -

In 1974, CAW had churches and communities throughout the west, mid-west, and parts of the east coast. -

Move to Oregon
Otto Zell-Ravenheart and his wife moved to Oregon two years later and to conduct research, write, and practice their religion. -
Ecosophical Research Association
Oberon and Morning Glory co-founded the Ecosophical Research Association in 1977. They researched arcane lore and ancient legends. -
California
By the mid 1980s, the church was only practiced in California and is now based there solely. -

After creating the Living Unicorn Project, CAW established a contract with Ringling Bros./Barnum & Bailey Circus. Through, the contract they showed legendary creatures throughout the world. -

International Expansion
By the late 1990s CAW had increased membership internationally. -

Anodea Judith assumed presidency until 1991, and the structure of the organization was revamped with plans for more nest meetings, training courses, new rituals, and publications. -

The Church of All Worlds became incorporated and federally recognized in Australia. -

Almost Terminated
In August 2001, the board of members almost terminated CAW because of financial struggles. -
Creation of Grey School of Magick
Oberon created an online school for magick. The Grey School currently offers over 300 classes in 16 Departments, at seven levels, with more than 750 students aged 11-75. The faculty number 40 highly-qualified teachers. Oberon Zell-Ravenheart is the head master. -
Return to Leadership
In January 2006, the Zells returned as the leaders of the church.
