THE CAMERA OBSCURA
The camera obscura is an optical instrument that allows a flat projection of an external image on the inner surface area. It was one of the ancient devices that led to the development of photography. The only downside was that it was not known in those years a way to store the catch of the camera, so it was only used for drawing. You can learn more in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LutIudRhm10 -
THE DAGUERREOTYPE
To learn more, click here...The daguerreotype was the first photographic process officially announced and released in 1839. It was developed and perfected by Louis Daguerre, from previously Niépce's unpublished experiences (before 1826) and unveiled in Paris . Daguerreotypes are distinguished from other procedures because the image is formed on a surface like a polished silver mirror. Its only drawbacks were the long exposure time (almost 10 minutes, because only in those days took outside photos). -
THE COLLODION PROCESS
The collodion process is a photographic procedure created in 1851 by Gustave Le Gray, who was the first to indicate a procedure with this compound, obtaining images using nitrous oxide development with iron sulfate. Frederick Scott Archer published that year, in England, a study of such agent was a breakthrough in the development of photography. The method involves using collodion, a kind of coating liquid being poured to the plates. You can learn more in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiAhPIUno -
THE FIRST KODAK CAMERA
To learn more, click here...George Eastman in 1888 created the first camera that used rolls of paper, replacing the glass plates used so far, which revolutionized the world of photography. This model was known as "Kodak 100 Vista", it consisted of a single aspect drawer and cost $ 25. This first Kodak camera was delivered with a burden of one hundred photographs round 6.4 cm in diameter. The invention of the camera marked the beginning of amateur photography, as only professionals could capture photos using complex process -
THE LEICA CAMERA
The Leica camera was the first compact camera 35 mm film. The first prototypes were built by Oskar Barnack at E. Leitz Optische Werke, Wetzlar, in 1913. Barnack film used standard 35mm film, but enlarged the image size up to 24x36 mm. Barnack chose an aspect ratio of 2: 3, with a capacity of 36 exposures per film (originally designed for 40 exposures, but the thickness of some films that claim restricted). THE FIRST DIGITAL CAMERA
The first recorded digital camera was developed by Kodak Company, which commissioned the construction of a prototype engineer Steven J. Sasson in 1975. This camera used the then-new CCD sensors developed by Fairchild Semiconductor in 1973. The camera recorded images on a cassette tape and took 23 seconds to capture its first image in December 1975. This prototype camera was a technical exercise, not intended for production. You can learn more in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwHQnCoDbvI -
DIGITAL CAMERA (1988)
The first fully digital camera that recorded images on a computer file was probably the model DS-1P Fuji, in 1988, he recorded on a card internal memory of 16 MB and used a battery to keep the data in memory. This camera was never offered for sale in the United States. The first digital camera available in the market was the Dycam Model 1, 1991, which was also sold under the name Logitech Fotoman. THE FIRST CAMERA PHONE
The first complete camera phone was constructed by Philippe Kahn in 1997. Compared to the digital cameras of the 90s, a camera in a mobile phone require less energy and a high level of integration of the electronic camera allowing miniaturization. While on camera phones it has been found useful for tourists and other common civilian purposes, as they are cheap, convenient, and portable, without the need for a camera. THE LITTLE CYCLOPE
With a length of four and two centimeters high, the Little Cyclops only has two buttons and no display, was created by Greg Dash, a student aged 25, who created a device that, despite its size, has a number of nifty features: time lapse mode (several photos showing a time sequence), 12-megapixel resolution and ability to record video in HD.
