  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    This act would have colonist pay more tax each time they made a purchase of sugars. This prohibited illegal rum and sugars to enter colonies. The British could now get more money from the colonies.
  • Quartering Act

    Quartering Act
    British soldiers were told to go in the homes of colonist. They were told to protect them from threats of the French and Native Americans. In return for protection the colonist would care for them.
  • Stamp Act

    This act was passed to make colonist pay tax for all legal papers that needed to be sent. This act was passed to be fair for the colonist after they made complaints about the sugar act. The Prime Minister seemed this would be fair since citizens in Britain did this.
  • The Townshend Act

    This act was able to prevent fraud, regulation abuse, and allowed more money to the British. This act said that if goods were to be brought into American it had to have a tax seal. If the good didn't have a seal while brought in an officer was able confiscate it.
  • The Tea Act

    This act says that all tea must be imported by licensed and all colonist must pay for it to receive any tea. All tax would be repealed other than the tea which had to be paid for. This act also said that the king would gain the East Indian company.
  • Boston Port Act

    This act was to mainly punish the colonist. The act says that ships entering or leaving the port couldn't enter or leave with any goods. Britain wanted to show the colonist they didn't have power.
  • MA Government Act an the Administration of Justice Act

    This act was responsible for the colonist being able to no longer have meetings. The British were afraid of an overthrow from the colonist. This made them decide that all meetings must involve a governor
  • Quebec Act

    This act allowed the British to gain even more land and expand. This expansion was made because they wanted Quebec to be part of the colonies. It stated that anyone living in the Quebec region would now be a subject to the British and they'd have to follow their laws.
