in 1954 the brown went against the board of education to try and give all children an equal education this helps my organization because the more schools that are open to having all children in a school the bigger the opportunities there is for the children of color. -

rosa parks arrested
in 1955 rosa parks got arrested for refusing to give up to her seat to a white man so she got arrested and people stopped riding the bus after that incident. this helped my organization because soon friendly protest started happening and people stopped riding busses so transit stations began to drop the rule of having to give up your seat. -

martin luther king gave a speech to the world explaining his dream to see peace and equality with the blacks and whites this helped my organization because this opened of many peoples hearts to be equal to one and other and many people started saying the same thing and people agreed -

The Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a landmark civil rights and labor law in the United States that outlaws discrimination based on race color, religion, sex, national origin, and later sexual orientation and gender identity. this helped my organization because now almost everybody began to respect eachother and be treated as equals because of this big change. -

The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a landmark piece of federal legislation in the United States that prohibits racial discrimination in voting. this helped my organization because now people of color can vote for their own rights which benefits them much better
