Battle of Springfield
Major General Nathanael Greene and his troops stop the British/Hessian advancement to Morristown (General Washington's headquarters) . Retreating British troops burn down Springfield, only four buildings remained. One of them being the Cannonball House, which still stands today. It is the last major battle fought in the North. -
