The Union enters Gettysburg
Union calvarys enter Gettysburg in search for shoes, food, and shelter. While at the same time a Confederate army was searching for a base camp. -
The Fighting Starts
The Union and Confederate armys find eachother. They start fighting at the north and west end of Gettysburg. The union army withdraws to Cemetery Hill. Confederate forces advance to try to take over Gettysburg and Seminary Ridge. -
Confederates continue attacking
Confederate forces attack Little Round Top. The union line at Cemetery hill is nearly broken. The confederate forces take control of Culp's Hill. -
The Union strikes back
Union army takes Culp's Hill back from Confederate forces. The Union and Confederate continue the longest artillery battle in the war for all 3 days. Confederate forces charge at the Union but are driven back. -
The Battle is ended
Both armys wait for a counter-attack but Confederate General Robert E. Lee is forced to retreat.
