Solid Sphere Model
He hypothesized that an atom is a solid sphere that couldn't be divided into smaller pieces. -
Plum Pudding Atoms
With a positive and negative charge that fills a sphere only one ten billionth of a metre across. -
Rutherford Model
Rutherford conducted an experiment which included a piece of gold foil with positive charged alpha particles. He expected them to travel right through the foil, instead many of the particles bouncing back off of the foild. -
The Bohr Model
Niels Bohr portrays the atom as a small, positive charged nucleous surrrounded by electrons that travel in circular orbits around it. Almost similar to the soloar system, but with attraction provided. -
Quantum Mechanical Model
Erwin Schrodinger discovered that electrons don't move in orbits or even in a set path. He therorzied that electrons mvoe in waves, and have no exact location. -
