Dalton
John Dalton discovered the atom. -
Thompson
In 1897 the electron was discovered by J.J. Thompson. The plum pudding model of the atom was proposed by Thompson. -
Rutherford
Ernest Rutherford proved the plum pudding model to be false in 1909. He proposed a planetary model, which shows electrons orbiting a small, positive-charged nucleus. -
Bohr
Niels Bohr proposed the Bohr Model. This model explains the electrons orbit around the nucleus. He explained what Rutherford couldn't explain. -
Schrodinger
Erwin Schrodinger described the wavelike behavior of moving particles. He did this by using the Schrodinger's equation in 1926.
