Death in protest
At least six more people have been killed by syrian forces in responce to protest againstn the current rule to end coruption. It is said that those killed had been unarmed. The Syrian vice president later went on to say that they would continue on the path to reform. This is important because it states that the regime is looking intto reform. -
Civil War???
Protester become angier with the syrian government because of the killings of the protesters at past demonstrations and the release of pointless reforms released on March 24th. It seems that sparks of civil war are now emerging when one man was killed when a group of pro-Government Loyalist attacked a group of pro-reformists. This is important to know that there are still people that support the current government. -
A populer president.
President Assad fired his entire cabnit and after a 10 day long uprising has suggested the need for reform. The president will soon give a speech in an attempt to regain the trust of the the rebels of syria. Despite the revolution it is said that Assad is a populer president amoung the syrian people. This is important to think about because if he was so populer and though for the well being of the syrian people then why such an uprise over the demand for him to step down. -
An empty speach
president Assid gave his long anticipated speach that was belived to have promise of reform but did not. He did not even apoligize for those that where killed in the struggle. Basicly he played the political game of temporaraly pleasing the people by confusing them and making empty promise. This is good to know because the syrian uprising looks like it is going to end up like those before it in the middle-east do to the ignorance presented by the syrian government.
