    It was during the night. Paul Revere rode off on his horse to alert minutemen in the Province Massachusetts Bay. He did this because of the approaching British Army troops that were headed towards their way. Later in the next day, it was when the battles of Lexington and Concord started.

    The battles of Lexington and Concord were a fight between the British and Americans. The British fought the Americans to prevent them from rebelling against them. After the battles, the Americans emerged victorious. These battles were important because it marked the start of the American War of Independence.

    After some months of defeat by the British. George Washington decided to cross with his troops over the Delaware River to make it to Trenton, New Jersey where troops of the British army were located. Washington made it the next morning, (December 26, 1776) which led to the battle of Trenton.

    After the arrival of George Washington and his army at Trenton, they started to battle against the Hessian (part of the British army). The battle ended on January 3, 1777 and the colonial army won. This event was important because the colonial army hadn't won a battle against the British after a long time.

    After some time the British soon attacked Philadelphia to gain control over it. George Washington's army was also there to help out the fight against the British in the battle. After some time the battle ended on September 26, 1777 and the Americans lost control over Philadelphia.

    This battle was important due to it being a turning point for the American army and giving a major morale boost. It also convinced the French to help support the American colonies. Since Burgoyne's army was defeated, Gate's army forced them to surrender at Saratoga. This battle ended on October 7, 1777.

    At Valley Forge, the Continental Army led by George Washington faced harsh weather, food shortages, and lacked shelter. The importance of this was the dedication, endurance, and resilience Washington's army had. This lasted until June 19, 1778.

    The battle took place in Yorktown where the British army led by Cornwallis and American army led by George Washington alongside the French fought. This battle lasted until October 19, 1781 where Cornwallis surrendered. This battle was important because it marked the end of the American revolution, meaning that America has won their independence.

    On September 3, 1783, U.S and British representatives signed the Treaty of Paris. This treaty officially declared the end of the American Revolution and that the U.S was now recognized as an independent nation.
