The French and Indian War was of the Seven Years was which the North American colonies of the British Empire against those of the French each side being with various Native American tribes. The French and Indian War began in 1754 and ended with the Treaty of Paris in 1763. The Brits had won the war. -

The Sons of liberty was a group of people that used Violence and grassroots activism to push back against the British rule. They were most famous in there role in the Boston tea party. They used activism to go against the British rule. Founded by John Hancock and Samuel Adams.
