This battle is usually referred to on Bunker Hill but it is actually located on Breeds Hill. http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battle-of-bunker-hill

Washington has shown that he could effectively unite soldiers from all colonies and turn them into a national force. http://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/battles-of-trenton-and-princeton

  • Continental Army Wintering in Valley Forge

Continental Army Wintering in Valley Forge
Both armies took time off fighting during the winter. Generals and officers of both sides knew that fighting in the cold winter wasn't the best choice. The Americans faced extreme cold, thirst, hunger, death of animals, and illness. The British wintered in New York and faced conditions that were much more lavish than the Americans. The Continental Army wintering at Valley Forge is symmetrical. http://www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/valleyforge.htm
