First Continental Congress Meets
The Founding fathers met in Philadelphia to discuss them having the same rights as the English men. -
Battles of Lexington & Concord
This battle is what kicked off the revolution. The Americans were out numbered but still ended up pulling out a win. -
Second Continental Congress Meet
This meeting was also held in Philadelphia. They appointed George Washington the commander of the Army. And they adopted the Declaration of Independence -

The purpose of the Battle of Bunker Hill was so that the Patriots could prove they could hold their own even though they were defeated. -

Officially declared the 13 original colonies had independence. Cut off all political ties with Great Britain. -

Gave more power to the individual states. Not one as a whole. First official constitution of the US. -
Treaty of Paris

The Great Compromise
The states that had a larger population wanted a greater representation, but the smaller states wanted equal. They established the legislative so they had the House and the Senate. -
Constitution is Ratified
The US longest written document. It started with "We the people" it shows that the government is there to help the people. -
Bill of Rights
The Bill of Rights was officially adopted by December 15th, 1791.
