Two months after Lexington and concord A battle was fought in Bunker Hill, The colonist versus the British. An army of 15,000 colonists against the British army of 5,000. Both armies suffered casualties but in the end the British remained Victorious. -
New York
The battle for New York City also known as the The Battle of Brooklyn. The British seized Brooklyn and fought against the American Colonial army. The British successfully seized New York capturing 1,100 colonials. -
Trenton
George Washington devised a plan to attack the British at Trenton, They would cross the dangerous Delaware River to surprise the British. The Colonists won the battle, This victory revived the Continental Army. Later Washington crossed the Delaware River for a second time and won another battle because of it. -

Valley Forge
Valley Forge is often known as the birthplace of the American Army. While camped there the colonists went through one of the harshest winters. Many of the people there died of starvation and disease. A man by the name of Baron von Steuben trained and taught the soldiers how to fight. When the winter was over the people there came out changed people. -

Yorktown
George Washington had two options, strike the British soldiers in New York, or the soldiers in Yorktown. George Washington and his ally Lt. Gen. Comte de Rochambeau choose to go south to Yorktown. The Colonists alongside their new French allies stormed towards Yorktown. They surprised the British and found in a 3-week battle and the colonist won. -
Treaty of Paris
The Treaty of Paris was drafted on November, 30th 1782, and Signed on September 9th, 1783. The signing marked the end of the American Revolution. The first time the British acknowledges America's independence, Boundaries were established in America, and The British empire was destroyed in America.
