Freed African soldiers join the war
Freed African Americans joined the army, but Washington was worried some could be runaway slaves. So he banned them, but later with a shortage of soldiers he allowed them again. -

The British had an army in Yorktown VA, setting them up for battle. But in secret, Washington had an army block off the harbor. The fight lasted days. -

The British finally surrendered at Yorktown, as the rebel and ally armies watched the British line up and lay down their arms. -

Representatives from the US and England met up in France to sign a peace treaty that recognized the US as an independent country.
