British try to isolate New England; ununanymous. Howe took Philadelphia- Continental Congress escape. General John Burgoyne trapped near saratoga. Americans won and British surrendor. French decided to help them after this battle. -

American and French surround British fort and constantly fire canons at them for days. They had dug trenches for protection and captured each redoute at a time.British surrendor. -
