    People disguised as native Americans and dumped literal tons of tea to protest the stamp act. Was one of the first major acts of protest against the British.

    The British put out a series of laws to punish people for the Boston Tea Party. Was one of many factors that pushed the colonists to revolt.

    The gathering of many important revolutionary figures to discuss their split from Europe. There was someone there from every colony (no Georgia).

    The fight took place in the Province of Massachusetts and was one of the first wars. It was fought between the British and the colonists because of the rising tensions between them.

    The second battle of the revolutionary war that caused major losses for the Americans. It was named after Bunker Hill in Massachusetts, which was involved.

    It was sent to the king as a last ditch effort to avoid a formal war. It failed, and the war started shortly after.

    Washington secretly sent him and his troops across the Delaware to surprise the British soldiers. They had just been celebrating Christmas, and were easy to defeat.

    The Americans ambushed the British after all of their Christmas celebrations. The battle restored faith in George Washington and out army.

    One of the most important battles of the war. Ended British Control of the Hudson River Valley.

    The camp that the continental army stayed at during the winter. Many people died from extreme cold, lack of resources, and disease.

    The draft is when of age and able bodied people were chosen to fight in the war. Most of them were untrained and made up the continental army.

    The last major battle of the revolution. The battle ended in surrender and gave America the victory.

    The treaty signed at the end of the war. America was officially independent and gained even more land.
