Intolerable/Coercive Acts
The intolerbale Acts did these four things:
1. The Boston Port bill, which closed Boston Harbor.(June 1, 1774)
2. The Qaurtering Act, which forced the colonists to house and feed british soliders.
3. The Adminastartion of Justice Act, which alowed british officials to not be tried in colonial.
4. PArliment also decide to tax the tea that the colonists ourchas, but the East India Company sells the tea for cheap with massive taxes causing The boston tea party. -

A group of Colonists dressed as Indians snuck onto a British East India company boat and dumped hundreds of punds of tea into the boston harbour. -

700 regulars were told to destroy weapons stored in Concord, Massachusetts. The Colonists had news of this and had already moved supplies. the battle started in thre morning. It was called the shot heard round the world" 73 british killed and 49 colonists killed. -

Philadelphia is lost to the British
General Howe captured PHiladelphia in Spetember 1777, and occupied it that winter. forcing Washington to decide that the Continental Army would stay the winter at Valley Forge. -

Thew continental Army stayed at Valley Froge from December 1777-June 1778. Conditions were terrible. The Soliders lived in drafty log huts with no windows and no ventilation, They weere also short on supplies, food, and cloths. Baron Von Stueben drilled th soliders so they better understood battle commands, and how to use militaary equiptment, he also raised moral and made soliders wash their rags. -
