The Greensboro sit in took place in Greensboro, NC. It started by Ezell Blair, Joseph McNeil, Franklin McCain, and David Richmond. They sat at an all white lunch counter and did not move, it soon led to other protests like this one. In result theaters, hotels, hospitals, and other public places desegragated voluntarily.

On March 7, 1965 in Selma Montgumery there was a nonviolent march. The march was led by Martin Luther King Jr. The march was for equal rights and it led to the Voting Rights Acts of 1965.

Martin Luther King Jr. was killed by Harvey Lowmeyer in Memphis Tennesse. Harvey Lowmeyer shot him. This led to riots.

In the year of 1969 in Charlotte, NC a case went to the supreme court. The judge was Judge McMillian and the case was about the school buses. The school buses were segregated so it took a lot longer for black children to get home. In result Judge McMillian found it unconstituitanal and the school buses became intergrated.
