Napoelon began this campaign by leaving Toulon to sail to the area of Alexandria, along the way way they stopped to gain control of Malta. He defeated the Mameluke armies in Cairo, gaining dominance in Egypt. The Maneluke army then retreated into Syria. -

Continental System
Napoleon began the Continental System to try and cut Great Britain off from the rest of Europe. SInce Napoleon could not conquer Great Britain due to their navy, he wanted them to not be able to trade, travel through or do anything in Europe. Russia after little bit broke away from this system causing Napoleon to invade Russia. -

Peninsular War
This war was a military conflict between the First French Empire and the allied powers of the Spanish Empire. It started when the French and Spanish occupied Portugal. Everything twisted when France turned on Spain, but Napoleon was later defeated in 1814. This was a huge emergance of guerilla warfare. -

The Invasion of Russia
Napoleon decided to invade Russia after they left the Continental System, letting Britain into Europe. The French army planned on going into Russia and staying in cities and using their shelter and food to survive. But Russia put in the Scorched Earth tactic, all the people in the city would take some things with them and they would burn everything else. They burnt literally everything, after doing this the Russians moved east to other cities. -

THis tome period was when Napoleon returned from exile in Elba and the second restoration of King Louis XVIII. During this time Napoleon commanded in the Battke of Waterloo. At the end of these hundred days Napoleon was exiled again but farther away to the island of Saint Helena. -
