First Consul for Life plebiscite
Napoleon proclaimed Consul for Life on the results of the plebiscite. The vote claimed 99.8% of the population approved. -
Napoleonic Code
The Napoleonic Code is the French civil code. The code didn't allow priveleges based on birrth, allowed freedom of religion, and spcified that government jobs should go to the most qualified. Women also lost their rights. -
