    Napoleon was born Ajaccio, Corsica, an Island right off the Coast of France and Italy. At the time Corsica was under the control of France. Both of Napoleon's parents were not from France.

    Napoleon attended a military school at the age of nine . He later graduated at the age of 16. Napoleon quickly makes his way up through the ranks after many impressive fights he won.

    As Napoleon gained more and more power of Europe he began to draw a new map of his land that included parts of Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. He was able to control all this land by placing friends or family members on the throne all across his new land. This is when he named his own brother Joseph Bonaparte the king of Spain.

    Although the spanish resistance was influencing Austria to continue their attack on the French, Napoleon and his men persevered once again against the Austro-Russian army as they pummeled them at the battle of Wagram. This then caused Austria to surrender.
