    Al Qaeda attacks the Twin Towers (World Trade Center) and the Pentagon after hijacking four commercial airliners. Two crashed into the world trade center, one crashed into the pentagon, and one was found in a field after passengers struggled to take down the hijackers.

    Britain and the US join together and begin to attack Afghanistan by launching bombs and missiles at the Taliban facilities and suspected training camps.

    A CH-47 Chinook helicopter was shot down. This helicopter held 30 US soldiers. 17 of them were Navy Seals. One of them was a civilian interpreter. and seven were afghan troops.
