The First Meeting of the League of Nations
The League of Nations met for the first time on January 16th 1920, with 42 countries ratifying the league of nations but the United States had voted not to join The League of Nations earlier in November 1919 so therefore they did not show up to the First conference. The conference took place in London, England in order to maintain peace through the years, it was also in response to the Treaty of Versailles the peace treaty that ended world War one. -
The Washington Conference
The Washington Naval Conference started on November 12th 1921 to February 6th 1922 held in Washington D.C.. In attendance were nine countries including The USA, Japan, China, France,Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Netherlands, and Britain.The objection of the conference was to limit Japanese naval growth into the Western Pacific Ocean this was important because they were growing closer to the USA -

The Beer Hall Putsch
Almost two thousand Nazis in Germany lead by Adolf Hitler and General Ludendorf marched to the center of Munich in an attempt to start a revolution against Germany. Hitler was not injured personally but 16 of his comrades were killed and more were injured and captured. They killed only four police officers. Hitler was also captured after 2 days of running, he was tried for treason. He was found guilty and charged to five years in prison but he was released after only nine months in prison. -
Vladimir Lenin Dies, Stalin takes over
Vladimir Lenin, the leader of The Soviet Union at the time passes away shockingly at the age of 53 leaving a very large void as the leader of one of the very large world powers. After a while of fighting Joseph Stalin takes control of The Soviet Union over Leon Trotsky. This would become a very detrimental time in Russian history as Stalin Kills almost ten million citizens of The Soviet Union. -

The last League of Nations Disarmament Conference is held
The League of Nations met for the last time in February 1st 1932 and this meeting lasted around 7 months gong all the way till July of that same year. Around 60 countries attended the conference including the USA, though they weren't in the League of Nations the were still invited and sent a delegate to the conference in Geneva Switzerland. As all of the countries were split down the middle with how to deal with Germany`s new found power no treaty was signed though they were there for 7 months. -
Hitler Appointed Chancellor of Germany
President Paul von Hindenburg named Hitler the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party in an attempt to scale back some of the chaos in the German government. This is one of Hitlers first steps in his rise to lead Germany and one of the most crucial moments in history of this time period.
