  • Cotton production booms

    Cotton production began to boom due to the war, and the economy in Texas was heavily sustained by cotton all throughout the 1920's.
  • Immigrants Pour In

    Starting in 1920 and lasting all throughout the decade, immigrants poured in to Texas from Mexico. Their numbers increased from 71,062 to 683,681 during the 20's.
  • Cameron Park

    In 1920, the Cameron family donated a large chunk of land (as well as financial aid) to the city of Waco, Texas. This land was added on to the land that they had already donated 10 years earlier, named Cameron Park.

    Following ratification of the 19th Amendment, women gained suffrage in 1920.
