  • Law of April 6 1830

    The law of April 6 1830 was initiated by the Mexican Minister of relations Lucas Alamán y Escalada. This created the law that no more immigration from the United States would be allowed and it allowed slaves. One of the biggest ones was that US goods were to be taxed.
  • Conflict at Anahuac

    The conflict at Anahuac was a conflict caused by some Texan people who did not respect the Law of April 6th, 1830. Mexico sent up Colonel Bradburn to resolve this and arrested William Travis and Patrick Jack. With this 200 men captured the Calvery of Bradburn and supposed to use them to trade them for William and Patrick.
  • Battle of Velasco

    The Battle of Velasco was one of the first real fights against the Mexicans and the Texans. While the Texans were coming down on a river to bring a cannon to Anahuac, the Mexicans tried to stop them and they fought. The Mexicans had to surrender before they ran out of ammunition.
  • Battle of Concepcion

    The Battle of Concepcion was another one of the first battles of the Texas Revolution. While the Texan army was camped over night the Mexicans came in in the morning and attacked them. With the Texans being completely outnumbered, they fought back while using the river bank next to them as shelter. The Mexicans had to retreat and the Texans won.
  • Battle of the Alamo

    The Battle of the Alamo is one of the most famous battles in the Texas Revolution. With the Texans having only 200 men and the Mexican army having around 4,000. The Texans were outnumbered completely. When the Mexican army called the wall of the garrison and took over the defeat was for sure.
  • Runaway Scrape

    The Mexican army led by Santa Ana said that any revolutionist in the way of them to Gonzales would be executed. While the Texan people evacuated the town of Gonzales and were told to go east around 200 miles and go to the US. The Texan army also burned down the town so that the Mexican government would not gain wealth from it.
