    Mier Y Tera Report

    In 1827 the government of Mexico sent general Manuel De Mier y Tera to see what was w going on. When he came back he told the Mexican government that if they didn't do something quickly the Texans would rebel.

    Law Of April 6,1830

    Law Of April 6,1830 was issued because of the Mier Y Teran report to counter concerns that Mexican Texas, part of the border state of Coahuila y Tejas was in danger of being annexed by the United States. Immigration of the United States citizens, some legal, most illegal, had begun to accelerate rapidly.
  • Turtle Bayou Resolution

    On June 13, 1832, a group of Anglo- American settlers adopted a resolution called the Turtle Bayou Resolution. This stated that they were loyal to Mexico and were not rebelling.
