Battle of Gonzales
The Mexican Government had given a cannon to a small town. 4 years later they wanted it back because there had been lots of rebellions. The town refused to give it back and fought the Mexicans. this was important because it sparked the revolution. -
Battle of Concepcion
The Texans stopped at a bow-shaped lake 200 yards from an abandoned mission. A force of 400 Mexican men went to defeat the Texans and failed. The Texans than later marched to San Antonio. This is important because if they didn't win the couldn't have been able to march into San Antonio. -
Siege of Bexar
After the Mexican army lost and was in full retreat the Texans started to go home. Santa Anna was furious over their loss and sent an army that would march to San Antonio. After Sam Houston heard this news he ordered to abandon the town. The Americans didn't listen and started fortifying the Alamo. -
Battle of the Alamo
The Troops sent by Santa Anna from the Siege of Bexar attacked the Americans who disobeyed Sam Houston's orders. Santa Anna's troops killed all Texans defending the Alamo. The battle of the Alamo is important because it helped texas win independence. -
Runaway Scrape
After the fall of the Alamo "deaf" Smith tells the people of Gonzales of Santa Anna's approach. They are then ordered to leave Gonzales by 11 pm as to not be killed. -
Goliad Massacre
James Fannin and his men were captured at Coleto Creek. He and his men were then taken to Goliad. At Goliad Fannin and his men would be slaughtered.
