Haden Edwards Colony
The people of his colony rebelled and were defeated. Making Mexico wory and put more troops in the colony, bring more sttlers, and build up trade between Texas and Mexico.They ended slavery hoping this would reduce the number of Americans moving to Texas. -
Law of April 6
Sent response to Mier Y Teran's observations. They also canceled immigration to Texas, started collecting taxes, and sent troops to Texas. -

Ended most Empresario contracts, outlawed bringing slaves into texas, and put a high tax on american goods. -
