  • Battle of Galveston

    The battle of Galveston took place in Galveston bay on January 1, 1863. The people involved where Paul herbert, Commander of the Confederates, Joseph cook, Commander of the Union, John Magruder, Replaced Herbert, Thomas green, Led Sibley's brigade, and William scurry led calvary. The outcome of the battle was that South retook the harbor with 26 killed, and 117 wounded. The Union lost Harriet lane & 150 men.
  • Battle of Sabine pass

    The battle of Sabine pass took place at the Sabine river on September 8, 1863. The significance of the location was that The Sabine river provided a narrow transport for leaving Texas and entering the gulf of Mexico. The people who were involved were Ulysses S. Grant (General of the Union), and Jefferson davis (General of the Confederates). At the end, the South won and claimed a swath of land. Now, The South had access to the Sabine pass which has river transportation of a hundred miles.
  • Battle of Palmito Ranch

    The Battle of Palmito ranch took place in Palmito ranch on May 12, 1865. the people involved where Col. John S. “Rip” Ford who was in the Confederate, and Col. Theodore H. Barrett who was in the Union. The outcome was 6 Confederate casualties, and 117 Union Casualties. In the end, the South won with a major victory.
