Which was a giant metal tower that worked by sending vibrations through the air. However, another inventor beat Tesla in the race to transmit messages across the sea. As a result funding and popularity quickly flew from Tesla to Marconi. -
Tesla's death
Nikola Tesla spent the next 43 years trying to stay out of bankruptcy. He went on to create several different more patents, but never was able to rake in enough money to get himself out of debt. He died at the age of 83 in a motel from coronary thrombosis, dyeing as a relatively forgotten inventor.
