  • Munich Massacre

    Munich Massacre
    During the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, the Palestinian terrorist group Black September kidnapped and took hostage 11 members of the Israeli Olympics team. The terrorists demanded the release of Palestsinians from Israeli jails, and when they figured out that their requests wouldn't be met, they brought the hostages to an airport and blew up the helicopter they were in. All 11 hostages were killed.

    Terrorist Attack on TWA Flight 841
    TWA flight 841 crashes into the sea, killing all 79 passengers. The result of this attack is because of a small bomb placed into the plane.
  • 1993 WTC Bombing

    1993 WTC Bombing
    Truck bomb exploded underneath the North tower of the World Trade Center. 6 people died, and 1,042 people were injured. The perpetrators were Ramzi Yousef and other co-conspirators, and this attack was because of US support of Israel.
  • Tokyo Sarin Attacks

    Tokyo Sarin Attacks
    On March 20, 1995, the religious group Aum Shinrikyo popped packets of sarin (a poisonous chemical) in trains under Tokyo. Thirteen people died as a result of this attack and 6,252 people were injured. The reasoning for this attack is that they wanted to cause fear and panic in Japan.
  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    Oklahoma City Bombing
    On April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh drove a truck containing a bomb in front of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City. The bomb shortly after exploded, destroyed everything surrounding it and killing 168 people, injuring 680+. He had a partner in this terrolrist act, Terry Nichols. Both were motivated to do this event because they were enraged by the Waco Siege and the Ruby Ridge incident.
  • Luxor Massacre

    Luxor Massacre
    On November 17, 1997, in Deir el-Bahri, Egypt, a small terrorist group affiliated with al-Qaeda killed 62 tourists and injured 26 more using automatic weapons and knives at the Djeser-Djeseru. Their reasoning behind this attack was to try and devastate the Egyptian economy and panic citizens.
  • September 11 Attacks

    September 11 Attacks
    On September 11, 2001, four planes were hijacked by al-Qaeda terrorists. Two planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York, causing the buildings to collapse. One plane was flown into the Pentagon, and another crashed into a field because the passengers tried to overtake the terrorists. In total, 2996 people died (including the hijackers) and more than 6,000 were injured. The reasoning behind this attack is because al-Qaeda was enraged about US troops in Saudi-Arabia and in Iraq.

    2001 Anthrax Attacks
    Shortly after the events of 9/11, letters containing anthrax spores were mailed to several news media offices and two Democratic U.S. Senators, killing five people and infecting 17 others. The suspected perpetraor is Bruce Edward Ivins.
