As the game became more sophisticated, the court was given 4 walls instead of 1, and a roof. -
Squash
People ague that Raquets lead to the less expensive game of Squash Raquets
By the 1860's purpose built squash courts were common an boys often took the game to Uni or back home. -
Fives
Best known as Eton Fives
Popular in Public schools.
Failed to become a national game because:
- tradition of being recreational, limited for developing character and more sophisticated games were already established.
