Born on March 3rd 1847,Alexander Graham Bell was known for inventing the telephone.On March 10th 1876,Alexander Graham Bell had his first phone call to his assistant saying "Watson,come here.I want to see you".He was awarded the first U.S license for the invention of a telephone.It is not said to what telephone he invented but was known for contacting someone through a telephone prototype. Elisha Gray

Rotary Dial
The Rotary Dial was introduced in 1891.The Rotary Dial was round and had a hole over each number.The Rotary Dial uses electricity to carry sound messages.To dial a number,the caller has to place their finger in the finger hole where the numbers are and rotate the dial clockwise until it reaches the right finger hole.The caller then pulls out their finger and a spring in the dial returns it to the starting position. -

A jazz musician named Teri Pall invented a version of the Cordless Phone in 1965 but could not put her invention in stores for selling because of its 2 mile (3.2 km) range caused its radio signals to interfere with aircraft communications. In 1968, Teri Pall sold her rights from the Cordless Phone to a manufacturer who modified it for constructive use. -
