Telephone invented
The telephone was first invented by Alexander Graham Bell -
Bell Telephone Company
In July, the Bell Telephone company was formed by Gardiner Hubbard. Watson oversaw the development of the telephones and Bell traveled. -

After the company was in business for about half of the year, they had made 3,000 telephones. -

By the end of the 1930's, AT&T had millions of phones in service across the country. They hit a few blunders here and there, but by this time they were doing better. -

In the late 1940's after World War Two was over, the company had to keep up with the demand that had surfaced between the beginning and end of the war. Finally, the first commercial mobile phones were installed in St. Louis. -
