Bell's first telephone

It was invented by Alexander Graham in Scotland. It had one combied mouthpiece and earpiece. When you spoke in the horn, the voice was converted into electric signals which were carried along telephone wires

Thomas Edison made a telephone with a seperate mouth piece and earpiece

first dial phones

1896

The first dial phones were introduced, and were used in the 1920s, 'cradle' phones were popular in Europe and in USA.

Mobile Phone

1979

The mobile phone was invented at the Bell Telephone Laboratues in the USA. They were the first mobiles that did not fit in your pocket.
